These started showing up after a few hours of heavy RP. I wouldn't put it past my ancient Mac, but I've also never seen these kinds of artifacts in other programs I run. Any ideas? I'm running 10.3.6 on a 400MHz G3 with 256MB of RAM. Taurindur @ Elendor |

Yeah, that's exactly how I envisioned it being laid out. That sounds great! As a matter of fact, I do use bold in place of intense. I'm using 14pt Courier for everything, and I don't find that it messes up monospaced tables very much. However, if this new feature is added, I will probably switch to a custom color of my own. Also, I think the automatic brightener is a very good idea. I think the way it's implemented may be a little counter-intuitive. Most of the people I know set their clients' foreground color to either straight white (like me) or to a very light gray. Either of those results in hilight being a dark gray color when the automatic brightener is on. Unfortunately, I can't think offhand how this could be improved. Taurindur @ Elendor |

Day, as he goes on these forums, pointed me at Savitar last night. I had been using and, on the whole, enjoying Cantrip before that. Well, let me just say: I'll be in Day's debt for a while -- Savitar is awesome! Cantrip has some nice features, but it also has some annoying bugs. Since its development has stopped, those bugs will never be fixed. That made me a little nervous. I'm very glad to have found an excellent OS X client which is still being developed. Also, the feature I liked best about Cantrip (RegExp support in triggers) is implemented perfectly in Savitar. If the OS spellchecker is implemented soon, I'll be living the high life. :) I'm sure I'll be in here with feature requests a lot as I continue to use Savitar. I just wanted to start my posting record with some heartfelt appreciation for the developers. Thanks for the great client! Taurindur @ Elendor |

I agree that one should be able to choose a default hilight color. I always keep my foreground color bright white, and the resulting dark gray hilights serve to deemphasize the hilighted text, not emphasize it as intended. It's neat feature, because at least I can see hilights with bright white text, but being able to choose the color would be even better. Taurindur @ Elendor |
