Wednesday, 01 February 2017 15:14

I'm pleased to announce my free-to-download "Red Weasel" desktop utility is now available as an open source project repository on github.

It's exciting to finally have the chance to publicly share the source code of something I've worked on. (Historically, all my work has been done closed-source for my Heynow Software clients.)

So! If you are a developer and want to have a look on how we use JUCE at Heynow to deploy C/C++ apps across macOS and Windows simultaneously, come visit the github repository!

Fishman TriplePlay v1.2 is Released Print E-mail
Thursday, 23 January 2014 00:00

We helped release the v1.2 software for TriplePlay with our customer and friends over at Fishman Transducers. Here's their press release for it:

TriplePlay Software version 1.2 is now available with numerous enhancements, new features and improvements in compatibility. Always seeking to improve the user experience and performance, this is Fishman’s second major update since the product’s successful launch in April 2013.

The most notable new feature is that TriplePlay is now Pro Tools® AAX compatible. TriplePlay can now be inserted as a plugin in Pro Tools® 11 for Mac-based systems.

Other key updates include

■ Improved GarageBand Functionality: Users will now be able to record and play back multiple MIDI channels in a GarageBand® session.

■ MIDI Pass Through: Any MIDI commands from your foot controller are now passed through the TriplePlay application and can be assigned to your hosted plugins.

■ Optimized Plugin Scanning: Upon first launch, 64-Bit TriplePlay now warns you that factory and user patches containing 32-bit plugins are not compatible with 64-Bit mode. Patches that are not compatible with 64-bit systems will now appear in the factory patch list in red text.

Fishman’s Development Team went even further and addressed numerous requests from current TriplePlay users and added some major improvements for enhanced performance.

Thursday, 18 July 2013 00:00

We helped release the v1.1 software for TriplePlay with our customer and friends over at Fishman Transducers. Here's their press release for it:

Fishman is pleased to announce the release of TriplePlay® v1.1 software. Our latest release includes well over 50 improvements, new features and updates to make the experience of using TriplePlay even better. Fishman is committed to the continual development, enhancement, and improvement of TriplePlay so users will get the most out of this amazing technology and unlock their guitar's potential!

If you're a current TriplePlay user, simply open the TriplePlay app and update your software. If you're not already using TriplePlay, now's the perfect time!

The new TriplePlay v1.1 software contains over 50 new improvements, features and updates as part of Fishman’s ongoing commitment to evolve the user experience, value and performance of this unique technology.

TriplePlay is now 64-bit compatible on both Mac® and Windows® platforms and provides improved support with Windows 8. A new Basic Enhanced Mode allows iPad GarageBand users to easily activate Pitch Bend. Factory patches now can use Komplete sounds directly instead of requiring Elements.

The new Import/Export feature allows the transfer of patches from one TriplePlay installation computer to another. Improved hardware support allows the entire patch list to be loaded into the controller for use in the Hardware Mode. The TriplePlay software also now lets users know when new software releases are available.

Other features include improved Encoder/Receiver communications to ensure greater connection stability; new Plug-in support to improve scan time and accuracy; new Windows support to improve overall performance, and new support to enhance TriplePlay’s robustness in popular DAWs such as Cubase and Ableton Live 9.

Two new TriplePlay mixer audio options allow the Guitar Channel Level to be adjusted independently of Synth Channels and also allow the final Output Volume to be controlled by assigning CC80 to an external MIDI pedal.
